Counterbalance Forklift Parts
Counterbalance Forklift Parts - Counterbalance forklifts are actually popular pieces of machinery in the material handling industry. They are common machinery used in factories and warehouses around the world. The leading lift truck manufacturers like for example Toyota, Mitsubishi and Linde all construct counterbalance forklifts. They are existing in various fuel options like electric, gas or diesel. Usually, a counterbalanced forklift truck contains the following components:
The part designed for the operator known as the "cab" and houses all of the pedals, steering wheel, a dashboard which contains certain readouts, levers plus different switches. The frame of the lift truck is the foundation for the different components of the equipment consisting of the mast and counterweight, the power supply, the wheels and the axles. The frame could also have hydraulic fluid tanks and fuel tanks constructed as part of its assembly. The Mast is the vertical assembly that does the majority of the work raising and lowering the forklift's load.
The counterweight is a heavy mass of cast iron which is connected to the rear of the forklift truck frame. The counterweights' objective is to offset all the cargo being lifted. Using an electric lift truck, the big lead-acid battery itself could work as part of or all of the counterweight. The Power Source may have an internal combustion engine which could be powered by CNG gas, diesel, gasoline or LP gas. Electric lift trucks are driven by either fuel cells which provide power to a battery or electric motors. The electric motors may be either DC or AC types.
Fork attachments are various types of material handling attachments which are offered including carpet poles, pole handlers, side shifters, multipurpose clams, carton clamps, slip-sheet attachments, fork positioners, roll clamps and container handlers.
When needing to park pallets closely together, the counterbalance forklift is the ideal electric lift intended for the job. There are numerous benefits to utilizing a counterbalance lift instead of fork-over and straddle-leg designs. They do have several drawbacks however. A counterbalanced forklift could lift pallets directly off the floor since there are no stabilization legs to interfere. The main disadvantage of this unit of forklift is that the weight capacity and lift height would usually be less compared to the different styles.
